Jeff takes a job as a janitor at a remote motel and hopes for a quiet fresh start. Even before he begins his first day at work, however, without knowing who she really is, he is getting involved in a passionate affair with the motel owner's young, attractive wife. To make her jealous, Jeff also begins a romantic relationship with a young woman who works at the local bar.
